You are invited to a rare appearance by Rachel Hogan OBE, Director of Ape Action Africa, one of the largest primate sanctuaries on the continent.
One of today’s leading great ape conservationists, Rachel will talk of her 18 years defending these endangered beings in the challenging environment of Cameroon's tropical rainforest.
We are honored that special guest Donald Johanson, discoverer of the 3-million-year old skeleton "Lucy," will give opening remarks.
Join us for this cocktail reception to benefit Ape Action Africa and enjoy no-host cocktails from III Minna Gallery's famed bartenders  ~  delicious complimentary hors d'oeuvres  ~  and silent and live auctions of art and artifacts, experiences and indulgences, generously donated by local businesses and makers, all for a great cause!
Auction items include an overnight stay and safari at Safari West, a "Breakfast with the Chimps" behind-the-scenes experience at Oakland Zoo, and a week's visit to and hands-on volunteer experience at our Ape Action Africa sanctuary in Cameroon!
$10-20 donation at the door requested, guests 21+ welcome
