Tenderloin
About Tenderloin
This area of San- Francisco got its ?Tenderloin? nick name from the wide choice of fine cut meats made affordable to the police officers who worked in this area, which was once widely known for its violent beat nature. But don?t worry the town has changed since those days. One attraction is the Glide Memorial Church, with a large history for helping the homeless. This is an area as to where many homeless people are attracted to in search of help. And a good place to volunteer time to a better cause. Tenderloin is located near another attraction which is the china town section, famous for its foods and Chinese culture. Where better to find hard to locate Chinese memorabilia. China town offers a two hour walking tour and also is the location area for the Asian Art Museum. Other attractions located near Tenderloin are, the Alcatraz prison, Cable Car Museum, Fisherman?s Warf, Golden Gate Bridge, Palace of Fine Arts, the Transamerica Pyramid, and the San Francisco Zoo.
