Description
Tenebrae means "darkness” in Latin, and comes to us from a medieval practice that has its roots in the ninth century. Before Jesus died upon the cross, from noon onward, darkness covered the land until three in the afternoon.

When he gave up his spirit, the earth quaked. Join the Cathedral Choir for a Tenebrae service on Wednesday, April 12th at 7:15 pm in preparation for the Easter Triduum. Spend an hour in chant, song, and readings to guide our hearts and minds in experiencing this most Holy time of the year.
