Event Details
Below you can find some general information about group volunteering at our rescue. You can also visit our website to learn more about Muttville and our senior mutts!
When: Groups generally come in on Mondays from 12pm - 2:30pm.
Who: They typical group is about 5 - 12 people. Our space is small so we can only accommodate a maximum of 12 people in each group.
We are requiring proof of COVID vaccination for all volunteers at this time. We are also asking all of our volunteers to wear masks while indoors and social distance when possible.
What: Our mutts will be so excited to welcome you to Muttville, complete with lots of mutt snuggles! Here are some examples of projects you may be working on during your group volunteer shift:
Admin Work: stuffing envelopes, addressing, and stamping for our donation drives; organizing our medical records; filing dog paperwork.
Dog Washing & Walking: washing our mutts here at HQ to prep them for adoption events, making sure all our mutts get their exercise.
Painting & Organization: prepping areas of our offices to be painted, painting primer + color; organizing our storage garage.
Deep Cleaning: cleaning our facility stops the spread of mutt diseases and helps ensure that our pups have a safe and clean place to call home while they wait for their forever home
Street Pick Up: making sure the mutts have a safe walking path is key so they don't accidentally pick up a leftover chicken bone or step in glass (ouch!)
Prep for Large Events: inventory of all of our merchandise + organization; using our van to run errands and pick up supplies
