Join Starch & Glitter for an evening of music, champagne, and couture as we present AN ELUSIVE IDEAL, our fourth concert in the series. Featuring Waiton Farrell, bass-baritone and Astghik Sakanyan, piano, this intimate evening in a beautiful San Francisco art space includes a program of opera, art song, and musical theatre. Composers include: Hugo Wolf, Franz Schubert, Francis Poulenc, Libby Larsen, Gaetano Donizetti, Stephen Sondheim, and many others.
Reflecting on the "swipe-left" mentality of life and the constant search for our ideal, this program revolves around shattering the illusion of perfection. Dealing with concepts such as one-night-stands, shattered relationships, sarcastic lovers, and the lies we tell ourselves, we will kick our heeled boots through the mirror to discover the beauty within us all and the tranquility of solitude.
We are delighted to have collaborated with the incomparable creative minds of Tokyo Gamine (Yuka Uehara) and Dark Garden to debut couture pieces inspired by this concert's theme.
This event is 21+ due to alcohol and mature subject matter.

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?
Yes, all attendees must be 21 years of age or older. Our bartender will check your ID prior to serving you.
What can I bring into the event?
Your beautiful smile and a desire to enjoy an evening of music with a welcoming and diverse community. Oh, and feel free to make it fashion: we adore that! But please: no outside alcohol or illegal substances. Thank you, lovely one!
What's the refund policy?
Due to the intimacy of this event, an accurate headcount in advance is vital, so we do not offer refunds at this time.
Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
You will need to show your ticket at the door so it can be scanned. You can save it to your iPhone or Android wallet, so long as we can scan you in for entry.
Is it ok if the name on my ticket or registration doesn't match the person who attends?
Yes, this is acceptable. We love gifted tickets! The person must have a print out or scannable ticket in order to enter this event however.
What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?
